Design is a process and exploration of art, life and for some, love. Diane Carleton, creative director and designer of FIGI Jeans, draws inspiration for her pieces from contemporary artists. The current collection is inspired by the works of John Rossi.
For this collection, Diane viewed the collage works that the American artist is famous for.
She found that his works are made up of found objects, such as scraps of paper, cloth, and parts of clothing focusing on the objects’ evolutions through time.John’s added dimensions with painting, printing, and pressing, create this reimagined piece of something new from something old. FIGI Jeans is taking something old, in our loved jeans, and creating something refreshed in expressive art pieces to be worn lovingly.
The Explosive Star Jeans - $200.00
When we were asked to review Diane’s latest collection, we were thrilled. There’s something so invigorating and exhilarating about a new pair of jeans, and not just any jeans…but jeans that make you want to live in them. After trying on the Existence pair I was hooked. Comfortable doesn’t even begin to describe these jeans. Not only are they easy to slip into, they’re beautifully designed and the perfect mixed-color, a merlot-meets-sangria for spring.
